📢 Apave UK is actively looking for an experienced Quality Manager to join our team and take responsibility for maintaining and continually improving our Quality Management System (QMS) across the UK business.
Working closely with management, technical teams and our UK branches, you will ensure our quality systems remain effective, compliant and aligned with relevant standards, accreditation requirements and client expectations.
🎯 Let's walk you through your day-to-day
Once you've completed your onboarding, you'll undertake various assignments:
👉Maintain and continually develop the Apave UK QMS, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 17020 and ISO/IEC 17025.
👉Manage document control, including the development, review and issue of QMS and client-specific procedures.
👉Plan and undertake internal audits and support branches with quality audits and compliance activities.
👉Coordinate and host external audits and assessments, including UKAS, NQA, Achilles, ConCom and client audits.
👉Manage non-conformances, complaints, corrective actions and continual improvement activities.
👉Support management with quality reporting, presentations and the implementation of new or amended processes.
👉Develop and deliver QMS and quality-related training to Technical Managers and other employees as required.
👉Work closely with other Quality Managers, providing support for ISO 9001, NADCAP and ISO/IEC 17025 assessments and audits.
👉Provide quality support to Apave UK branches through visits, meetings, audits and ongoing advice.
👉Maintain relevant online approvals and registrations, including Achilles and ISNet.
👉Promote a culture of quality, compliance and continual improvement throughout the business.

We are looking for someone with proven experience in a quality management environment who can work confidently across both operational and management levels.
🙌 You will ideally have:
- Experience working with ISO 9001, with knowledge of ISO/IEC 17020 and/or ISO/IEC 17025.
- Experience conducting internal audits and supporting external audits or accreditation assessments.
- Strong knowledge of QMS, document control, non-conformance and corrective action processes.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and build effective relationships across a multi-site organisation.
- A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement and providing practical solutions.
- Experience within an inspection, testing, engineering or technical services environment, together with knowledge of UKAS, would be advantageous.
